music taking up my space?

Im making a little flash intro for my site and its about
17 KB but then when I add the mp3 to play in the background it goes to about 3.7MB when i publish it. Im using the MP3 compression and I have used the same mp3 in another flash and it was only about 178 KB. does anyone know why this is happening and how I cann fix it?

Check your mp3 setting to make sure they're optimized (i.e., 22khz, 16khz, 8khz mono/stereo). Make sure you either are or aren't overriding sound settings when you publish.
