Music on transfer not required? How to set up

I have a scenario where I want to play a front end message for a call centre " welcome to bla company..... for quality assurance we monitor our calls etc" then transfer the caller to a ring group with ring back on transfer not music.

I initially setup using a RAD on a ACD path. RAD kicks in after one second plays out and the interflow timer kicks in a second or so after the RAD finishes and transfers the caller to the ring group.

The setup works fine except that the transfer from RAD places the caller MOH, no ring back, which at the time I though aceptable enough, but the clients wants ring back not MOH for the caller.

How can I achieve? Is there another way to perform? I have read up on music on transfer in COS but I have no way of attaching to the ACD path. The RAD and trunk COS have this option disabled.

System
Mxe: MCD 4.2

why not use a MoH that is recorded ringing?

Hi Supernova99

That's a brilliant idea. But before I get too excited...Just confirming....will the transfer use the assigned Music source on the ACD path only. I need to have the company MOH play on the rest of the system transfer and hold facilities.

Use the embedded audio source with a ring back recording. From the help file:

Audio Source: Select the audio source for Recording n:

•Select None for no audio source. If you select None, the system Music On Hold source that is programmed in the System Access Points form is used between the RADs. If the system Music On Hold source is also set to None in the System Acess Points form, silence is provided between the RADs.

•Select Embedded for multi-music on hold. If you select Embedded, the "Embedded Music Source" field is enabled.

•Select External to use an Alternative Recording Device (ARD) as the music source. If you select External, the "Alternative Recording Device" field is enabled. If you don't program the Alternative Recording Device field before saving your changes, the Audio Source field reverts to None.

Embedded Music Source:

•Select the ID number of the desired music file.

•Note: The AX Controller only supports two embedded audio sources. Source #0 is predefined as Music on Hold. Therefore, you can only assign Source #1 to Tenant Music on Hold or ACD Music on Hold

Alternative Recording Device:

•Enter the ONS directory number to which the desired ARD is attached (programmed in the Analog Sets form).

In order to program additional recordings for either an embedded music source or an ARD, the preceding recording must be programmed. For example, to program

•Recording 2: recording 1 must also be programmed.

•Recording 3: recordings 1 and 2 must also be programmed.

•Recording 4: recordings 1, 2 and 3 must also be programmed.
