Can anyone recommend a decent DigitalMusic on hold system for A G3r6 on a TN793 circuit pack using an MOH coupler. We currently have a system which loads from a cassette, but we would like to have a CD system.

Why not look in to a PC with a whole lot of MP3 files?

Please let me know if the information that was provided is helpfull.

unfortunately the company wants a stand alone unit to either play a cd or load the music from a cd. They do not to spend the $$ on another PC.

P.S. They have a corporate CD they want to use.

I am using an old small mp3 player to play the "corporate"
hold noise....

I have the same problem as you... cheap company with a one-track "corporate" theme that runs on an andless loop.

I am currently piping into my G3R6 using a portable CD player (Radio Shack) running on an AC adapter in an endless "repeat" cycle.
A word of advice if you want to do this... having just one track on the CD will definitely burn-out your player in no time - What I did was burn the same song 10-12 times onto the CD (based on the size of the song/capacity of the disk)... and then run the "repeat-all" feature on the CD player. This will allow the read head to track the entire length before recycling. This one has been playing 24/7 for over two years now... and still going strong.

Hope this helps.

A product that I have used before is IMS Music On-Hold. You can download the eval version at It allows you to download music from the internet, and also create your own on-hold announcements.

I myself have put together a very inexpensive message on hold for my clients.

What you need:

a cheap cd player with external power supply
recording software off the internet that allows you to mix voice over music.
Record the greeting and music and burn to a CD.
then put the cd player in repeat mode.

Works fine for my customers and they are able to record their own greetings whenever they want.
