We have a customer with an IP500V2 on Release 8.1. They created a 3 minute and 20 second .mp3 file (3 MB)that they want to use for music on hold. Is there still a limitation of a 90 second .wav file? If so, is there a workaround for this?

It is. On Server Edition you can have 600 seconds but not with 500V2.

Drop the beat on a powered player. Set MOH source to external.

Terrestrial gamma-ray flashes (TGFs) are bursts of gamma rays produced in the Earth's atmosphere, usually by lightning. Not easily detectable on earth due to the fact they shoot out into space. A good thing too!

The same case is with me for IPO 500 v2. Can't set hold music :/ :(

Sundesa, it's not the same case, if you use a file of the correct type and length it works. The OP has a file that's too long and in the wrong format, so if you have the same "issue" you have simply made the same mistake ....or are just doing it wrong :)

This may be a little old school of a suggestion... i would find one of those things they used to make called "walkman" or "CD player", and use the headphone jack to connect it to the ip office via a 3.5 m-m cable. plug it into the wall, press play and let it start its life as a dust collector. change the MOH source to external, reboot, jam out on hold.
