I have put Music on hold in other systems and never had a problem, no I have run into this.....

I have a small radio/cd player hooked up to an IP403. The raido is a small desktop play with very little power. When you place someone on hold, you can barely hear the music, even with the volume turned all the way up on the radio. Does the same whether I use a CD or the radio.

Any thoghts?

try another music source to see if it's the radio "with very little power" (as I suspect).

I've never had that problem on an IPO.

Are you using the Headphone jack or the Line out on the radio.

Moh Should be connected to the Headphone jack & if this can play at a reasonable level into a set of headphones then you should not be having a problem

Line out ports need a amplifier to be heard properly. Headphone sockets have a mini-preamp built in. Hence the need for the headphone/ear socket usage :)
