Music on Hold S8300/G700/CM5.1.1/4621SW

The S8300/G700 i just installed will not play music on hold to callers placed on hold via 4621SW. This includes internal and external calls. The music works fine analog/digital to analog/digital but will not work IP to IP nor will it work if one of the stations is IP and the other is analog/digital, regardless of who puts who on hold or who initiated the call. Examples:
IP calls IP and either one puts the other on hold, doesn't work
Analog calls IP and either puts the other on hold, doesn't work.
Analog or digital calls analog or digital and either puts the other on hold, WORKS.
IP calls IP and either one parks the other one, music WORKS.
I am completely lost on what is going on. I know the music is coming into the sytem and that the system can play it but IP phones seem to be the common denomiator when it doesn't. Phones and equipment are at latest firmware for CM 5.1.1. Any ideas?
 
no idea, but you are 2 versions behind on CM5 (after 5.1.1, was 5.1.2, and then CM 5.2 which is the current release). It could very well be a bug in CM, that has alrady been fixed. If you call AVAYA, they will tell you to upgrade to CM 5.2, and that would also be my advise. The ISO's to burn your own CD are on their website, and you can download it, and upgrade easily.

Check your COR assigned to your trunks groups and IP phones. See if it has Hear music on hold set to "N".

You would also check to make sure that data privacy is not turned on (in the COS) and data restriction is not turned on (on the station forms second page). These will disable music on hold.
