I have the official Merlin Legend music on hold adapter. I have the music source plugged into the "music in" port via RCA cable and then I have the adapter hooked up to port 804 on my system. I did the following:

Menu > System Program > Exit > Aux Equip > MOH > 804

I have adjusted the pot on the adapater for the volume level, but there's still no music when I put a caller on hold. Is there something that I could be missing? Or maybe my adapater is junk.

The volume control works backwards from what you'd expect - counter-clockwise is full volume.

Also, you need to have the volume on the source pretty high as well.

I read in another thread about the counter-clockwise pot, so I already have it all the way up in the correct direction. I have it hooked up to a portable CD player. Maybe it's not loud enough. I'll try another source. Thanks for your help. This forum is a great resource!
