Music on Hold / Paging Programming

i know both of these items use a CO line port and need to be identified in programming as auxiliary items -what is the purpose of the programming identification - ie - what would happen if they werent identified as aux items - the co ports are not in any pools
 
Labeling does not affect the operation or functionality of an object, it simply serves as an aid in identifying that object. For instance, labeling trunk 811 as 'MOH' and 812 as 'PAGE' would quickly identify the Music-on-hold and Paging ports if you were to print out Trunk Info. Of course it's only useful if the information is kept up to date.
