solution for multiple music on holds.

Is there any solutions for multiple music on holds for IP Office?

We have a multi-tenant location wanting to do short advertising bursts while on hold.

We are looking at using a queue solution for this.

Any ideas, pointers, tips etc.

If a caller is in que is there a way to pull a specific caller out of the queue?

Is there a queue slot you can use? or just the longest in the queque?

Get an ipod and just drop in some mp3 for moh

IPO has only 1 music on hold source.

with casrfull use of system variables it should be possible th get a sequence of different que msgs played using VM Pro but I will be honest & say I have never tried

going to have to use the ipod idea or outsource to a MOH company for a MOH unit

We are currently trying the multiple queue method.

We setup groups that we call park slots so you transfer the user to that park slot (fake park slot) and they get queue messages while in that park slot.

We'll let you know how it goes.

The only downside is you have to have park and unpark buttons instead of just hitting the same button to pick up the parked call. This is due to the fact that its really not a parked call, but a transfered call to a group with a queue.

If I'm getting this right, aren't you using a VM port for every caller put on hold as well?

No, I believe wav files are not using vm pro liscense in this situation. They aren't in queue in vmpro.

Unless I'm mistaken on how it the wav files in the queue work in regards to lisensing.

You should be able to have wav files played in queue's without vm pro.

Yes I am using a vmpro port for every call that is on hold. My mistake.

Now I'm having issues with not being able to pull the user out of the group. Sometimes it will let you other times it will not.
