I am upgrading my system to a Partner ACS v5 with Messaging R 1.0. I would like to add a very good "music on hold" digital player that I can load from a CD or other high quality source. I am not really interested in AM / FM since I am in a remote location without any quality radio stations. Is it possible to play out of memory and reload automatically in the event of power failure? Does anyone have any experience with this type of device?

Hi Doug317,
Almost all digital players have memory backup. If you run off a computer, just include a batch file that runs at startup. Set the input level to max. and that should be good with any -10 dBv source.(standard consumer equipt. level on RCA output)
I don't see any problems here except legal. (public performance)

There are copyright laws to be considered, although most people don't. We use a product by Info-Chip which is all digital, professionally recorded, and the price includes lifetime licensing.
