Music on hold for only 3 of 8 lines?

The system is a KX-TD1232 with 8 copper CO lines attached.
The client has two companies - 3 lines for company "A" and 5 lines for company "B". He wants to hook up different music-on-hold music for each company. He wants to have advertising on the MOH recording for company "A" and regular generic MOH music for company "B".
I have told him I don't think this is possible through the TD1232 programming. I do know that having two of the On hold Plus 5500's could do the trick but that is a weak work-around in my opinion.

Anyone else know of a solution that does not require a separate "hold" button for each phone?

As far as I've ever found, there is no way to do it. The 2 MOH ports are to split BGM and MOH only....

I agree, you can not do this on a 1232
the TDA100/200 has 2 MOH ports I think and should be asignable on a Tenant basis
