Music on hold file size 2

I noticed that the included music on hold file only runs for about 30 seconds is it possible to load a larger file with pre-recorded music or are there limitations for the music on hold file? I thought this would be easier to have the IPO play the music then connect an external music on hold device

You can upload a music on hold file up to 90 seconds in length assuming IP500 or newer. IP400 is 30 seconds max.

Is there a reason that you know why the file size is only limited to 90 seconds?

That just means the same song keeps playing over and over again.

Is it just a matter of limitations on memory size?

It’s loaded into RAM. So Avaya wanted to avoid to use too much RAM and to lock it for other processes.
