Hi,

Since Nortel released the 1000E in release 4 you must purchase music broadcast for your moh to work correctly. However I would like that someone can explain me how to provision and correctly engineer the required number of broadcast unit you must set on your routes.

Regards,
Alex

If you are only going to deliver music to outside callers, then you know your broadcast units will never need to exceed the number of trunks. Considering the way it is sold (in quantities of X), that may immediately solve your issue.

You'll have to make some assumptions otherwise: "Of the trunks equipped, how many will be on hold for more than 5 or 10 seconds at any given time"

Personally, I'd never deliver music to internal calls.
