Music and sound in Web pages 1

Greets,

I'm an ASP DB programmer and want to know if anyone has successfully made interactive pages that play sound and music. My interest is making cool pages that play different samples and tunes using vb events such as onClick() etc.

I have seen it done well using flash but my strenth is VB.
Can you use DirectX objects or something simpler with VBScript?

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Also look at other information on nearby links (see the page above). This is info about using Windows Media Player 6.4, because for some reason MS didn't create WMP 7 in such a manner that it can be used in a web page or in VB, etc.

It can also be made to work as a Netscrape plug-in.

It ought to be scriptable enough for your needs, you can change the FileName of the WAV to play, etc.
