Multiuser database - forms change for everyone 1

I have a 3 piece form. I am only adding the important fields.

Form 1:
Sector (combo box).

Form 2 (subform of Form 1):
Sector //Master of this child is Sector in Form 1.
ID

Form 3 (subform of Form 3):
ID //Master of this child is ID in Form 2.

I have split the database using the split database tool within Access 2007. I thought that giving the whole thing a seperate front end would allow multiple users to work on it. It allows them to open it but when one user changes the combo box selection in Form 1, it changes what is being displayed for every user.

Have I just gone about designing this wrong - is there a property setting that will stop this from happening?

Thanks in advance

Does the Back end reside on the server and every user have a copy of the front end on their local computer? If they are going to a single front end on the network your implementation is wrong.

Also tell us a little more about the combo. Bound or unbound? What is it bound to? What does it do?

They all go to the same front end (on the server). I will need to copy the front end of it to each local machine then?

I will try that. I was hopeful that it was something that stupid on my part.

Thank you for your helpful replies on both my recent posts MajP

Not only may this fix your problem but more importantly, it is the main reason for splitting a database. By having a local copy on your machine the only thing coming across the network is data not all the overhead of the forms and reports. Also by running multiple users in the same front end, corruption of the front end and backend is very common. These are two good articles.
