Hi,

I have a problem with Multitech VOIP MPV-130-AV with the T.38 fax.

Configuration of Avaya PBX :

Prologix CM 2.2

Medpro HV20 FW107

Configuration of VOIP :

Firmware : 2.06.D4

Use an FXS (loop start).

I can send fax with no problem, the problem is when I want to receive faxes. The call arrives, the fax machine take the line normaly and play the fax carrying normaly during 30 second. But on the other side we heard the fax carrying only 1 second and after we heard silence, and the 2 faxes don’t communicate. It is the same thing if I use the G.711 or the G.729.

Does anyone know this product and maybe encountered this type of problem ?

All my parameters on prologix looks good I don’t know why it don’t works.

Sunnyphone,

I have exactly the same problem but with an 8710 on 3.0.1. Sending is no problem but receiving doesn't work. Still looking for a solution.

Hi bsmo,

If you have an idea to resolve the problem in the futur, can you share it.

Thank you in advance.

Regards

Have you checked with Multitech to see if they have newer firmware? Do not trust the website, I've called in and was directed to their FTP server and deep within many directories were the latest firmware codes.

sunnyphone,

With firmware 2.06.D4 everything works just great. I have it running at a couple sites with no problems.
