Hey Guys,

I'm having an issue were calls coming over a PRI that are routed to a phantom user which is call forwarded to a HG with analog extensions that are setup with DTMFF. The call will eventually hit the faxfinder and route correctly but there is a delay of roughly 15 seconds before it answers. This causes the fax transmissions to be sporadic and a good amount timeout before the fax is sent. I believe the far end fax begins sending the transmission before the faxfinder connects.

It appears to get to the HG quickly but the response from the modem is delayed. I have a ticket with MultiTech and am awaiting their response but thought I would try to get ahead of it, and save a trip in this Noreaster!

IPO = 8.1.67
Analog extension are on a phone 8 card in the first slot.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Thanks for the reply Joe2938. I was just about to update this. There is a setting in multitech under configuration were you set the expected digits. Even though the PRI is sending 4, which is what it was set to, since the internal extensions are 3 digits, it was waiting for a 4 digit. It would eventually timeout and try to route it to the correct ext but this would cause the far end fax to give up.

Long story short, routing needs to match the extn length, not the DID.

Thanks everybody.
