All,

I am having an issue connecting a FF240 to an existing ShoreTel for fax server operation. I followed the guide on the Shoretel site, which is the same doc that is on the Multitech site to no avail. Here is my issue. Inbound faxes are working correctly and route to the correct email recipients. Outbound does not work at all. I have sent a fax from the FF to itself and that works correctly. I think my issue happens when the SIP tries to make the jump to the PRI to dial a fax. I was hoping to find someone who had some experience hooking up this solution as I cant find anything on the web that details my issue. Any help would be appreciated.

Here is the document I used to set up both the Shoretel and FaxFinder. (choose the Shoretel document)

I haven't looked over the document yet, but I will shortly. Did want to ask a quick question. I ran into an issue with outbound dialing when setting up SIP devices as well. I had to setup tandem trunking on the SIP trunk group and then choose a user group that could access the PRI. Have you verified that the SIP trunk group has the correct outbound options selected and has tandem trunking enabled? Hope this helps, again I will read over the docs and see if I see anything else.

@atascoman I actually found my problem and it was exactly that. The customer was replacing his existing analog FF with this new SIP version. Come to find out the old version did not dial a 9 to access an outside line, as it already had access to the trunks it needed to place the call. Due to the Trunk to Trunk Transfer that is involved in the SIP to PRI jump the customer had to insert a 9 in his dial string. I know, I know, the simplest things are usually the problem. Upon adding the 9, the FF sends faxes just fine and all is right with the world. All my programming was correct and followed the documentation to the letter, just had to insert that 9.
