Does anyone know if there is a way to do multiprocessing or multithreading of the functions in Visual Basic? I'd like to write a program that can do two things at once rather than in a long sequence. Anyone have any ideas?
Steve Kiehl
webmaster@nanovox.com
<a href= | The Idea Emporium
Visual basic runs on Appartment threading, so it has no true multithreading, it still halts the other process while it does something else, but yet you can have multiple processed lined up, you just cant do them at the same thing, this is said to be changed in the upcomming VB7 which will allow you true multithreading, this should make it alot easier on VC++ programmers as well that have a hardtime sticking a Multithreading dll into VB directly.
Karl
kb244@kb244.com
<a href=
Experienced in : C++(both VC++ and Borland),VB1(dos) thru VB6, Delphi 3 pro, HTML, Visual InterDev 6(ASP(WebProgramming/Vbscript)
