I am wondering how to set up a wireless network with multiple access points so that a greater coverage area can be achieved. I can set up 3 ap's on the same network but they are all acting as independant.

Are there specific access points that support this type of configuration?

Is a central server required to mac filter this type of network?

Can I easily set up a wireless network that supports roaming between different access points?

Thanks

You need one access point and two range extenders supporting the desiried encryption level.
You can easily setup multiple wireless profiles on for your mobile users with a home network as a preffered network. The saved network configuration profiles can be selected for use when operating at different WiFi networks.

NOk-

I think you misunderstood my question but still answered it. [lol]

roaming between access points was meant to mean on the same network, so setting up the range extenders is what I was thinking of.

thanks.
