Hi,
I have seen multiple versions coexist nicely ( and I have seen problems) - Usually each version uses DLLs specific to their version and do not interfere - A problem may arise if you dbl-click a .RPT file - there is no way to tell which version will be called ( Usually it is the last one installed), which could mean that unless you are careful when you save a report opened this way, it will be converted to that version and not readable by the earlier versions.
To Paraphrase:"The Help you get is proportional to the Help you give.."
from version 9 onwards, they can all co-exist on the same machine, and you can also include one older version of Crystal Reports. Version 8.5 and earlier all installed into Windows\Crystal while 9 and later install into a version specific folder.
