When a report has multiple values for a parameter in it, the active x viewer seems to add the first instance from the parameter list to the Selected Values box

Any Help????

I am running CE8.5 with SP1

Hi,
help with what ?
If you do not want that value, click on the Remove button..
Otherwise, when creating the list of values, add a blank one as the first in the list or , using the CMC, be sure that the 'clear current values' and 'prompt users..' options are checked and that you have clicked on 'Update'.

Hi again,
Sorry..ePortfolio may not show a remove button if the parameter is not a 'multiple values allowed' one, so in that case, just select another choice from the drop-down tab and it will replace the default one..

Building the list with an initial blank value should work however..

This doesn't seem to work. Get an arror message on eportfolio when running the report. A value is "''" is inserted as the default and if I leave this in I get an error

Hi,
You cannot use that as a parameter value - If you want to use something that way, make it a blank not an empty string:
Code:
"" is not the same as " "

As the first value, hit the space bar to create a single char blank string..
You report must allow for this however and handle that value correctly.
