I have set up a database for use for multiple users, The problem I am running into is that I have to join each one of their computers to my Workgroup file. I read that their is a way to get around this by Manipulating the command line in the shortcut. I did this and what came up was a database that had my security information in it. I need something that will prompt other computers for the User ID and password without having them join my workgroup.

The workgroup is what forces the user ID and password dialog. I don't understand why you would want to prompt users for a user ID and password w/o joining the workgroup. Here's a sample of how the shortcut works:

'opens MSAccess off local drive
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\MSACCESS.EXE"
'opens database FE from network
"N:\SampleDBase_Front.mdb"
'links FE with workgroup file on network
/wrkgrp "N:\SampleDBase_Workgroup.mdw"

Obviously you would leave the comments out of the shortcut.

Thank you!!! Im an Idiot I forgot to add the /wrkgrp before the wrkgrp path.!!
