I have a database I created where Call Center Reps add complaint info from calls they receive. They log each call as they come, and I want to make it so they can all be in the Database at the same time and still be able to update. The database is stored on a shared drive, so when more than one person is in the database, it won't let them save any new info b/c other people are updating at the same time. Is there any way to have everyone on at once (there are only about six-ten people using this) and everyone be able to update so the one database can take updates from up to ten people at once?

laina,
This is the norm with Access, but you may have the form or global locking set to 'all records'.
To see this, select from menu Tools-->Options. Then in the Advanced tab, make sure 'default open mode' is 'shared' and locking is either 'none' or 'edited record'. Also, on the forms Properties check the Record Locks and the same options exist.

With 'edited record', you get 'pessimistic' locking, which means the other users can't edit just the record you're working with until you're done. With no locks, it's 'optimistic' locking, which means anyone else can edit over you, but whoever saves last gets the message 'another user has changed...do you want to see their changes or overwrite them...'
