Can someone explain to me how this is happening and how to stop it?

Users starting a published application and if you look in the management console, you will see multiple instances of the same user, session, logon time, status, etc....

It's quite possible that the application is spawning processes which then display as duplicate sessions.

For example, I support an app on Citrix that when the user launches he/she has a Citrix session with SESSION ID 123

The user then performs a task in the app which opens a Word document. It then appears that the user has more than 1 Citrix session running. But when I look at the session ID, it's the same (123)

So if this is what is happening to you it is nothing to worry about and can be considered "normal".

If this is not what is happening to you please provide more detailed info

That's it! The application spawns multiple processes and different applications. This makes sense now.

Thanks.
