Hello,
A model has multiple time dimensions and some of the second time dimension has a lowest level that isn't time related. For example:
Year -> Quarter -> Month -> Project
Project is the lowest level because we are using two data sources (one structural and one transactional). The second date field in question is in the structural query and 'project' is the link to associate it with the measure data in the transactional query. Is this ok? It seems to work, but didn't know if there were any reasons that it shouldn't be done and I didn't see any examples with a setup like this. Another option is to create regular dimensions with the string equivalent of the dates, but then you would not have the relative time categories.
Any advice would be welcome.
