Our phone system has multiple tenants but only one MM system that they all use. MM 5.1.2 and CM 3.1.5. They are using the MM dial by name feature in their vectors and are complaining about the other tenant's names being listed in the possibles when a few letters are punched in. Is there some sort of tenant segmentation that can be done in the voicemail system so that callers using the dial by name will only access their set of names?

Thanks texeric,

That was sounding like the solution until I got to this in the document.

• If the caller uses dial-by-name and Modular Messaging finds several matches, then
Modular Messaging announces the matches in the form “[name] at [site]” to help the caller
ensure that they reach the intended subscriber.

It seems like Avaya took a cut at the problem but they still dont have a voicemail system that parallels the features in the communication server. It makes me wonder if anyone really uses the tenant feature to support multiple companies.

The only way that I have seen this done is with a caller app or vectoring on the CM to state the names of each tenant but with MM itself there is no option.

For the MM to say the site name it must be multi site enabled and the site name should be recorded

Make sure there is no overlaps in the dialing plan with multisite
