I have say two tables school1 and school2. Also a group of teachers. A teacher can be in both schools. What would be the best way to handle this. Multiple schoolid fields in the teacher table does not seem like the way to do it??

A third table containg only schoolid and techerid?

Of course there could be more than two schools.

Thanks for any help.

Suggest you consider 3 tables

1 ---Teacher (teacher_id as key)
2 ---School (school_id as key)

3 ---Teacher-School (teacher_id + school_id is key)

This allows multiple teachers, multiple schools.

good luck
