I have made a query to run a report detailing all the data i have on each record. The query is running from 5 tables, all of which are linked around the Bank ID. However, i have put the Criteria on the Bank Name so [Bank Name?], so that i can state which bank i want to view all the data off. But, no data is coming up. I am entering the bank name correctly, i have even taken the criteria off, but still no data is coming up. Is this because of the number of tables i am using or something else? PLease Help?! Thank you for your help already.

Matt,

When you JOIN tables, the default JOIN is an INNER JOIN. That menas that only records that match on the JOIN criteria will be displayed. In the case of five tables, each table must contain a record for each BankID in order for records to be displayed. The most common cause of zero records returned in a JOIN queries is that the tables don't match 100%.

If you have selection criteria (WHERE clause) based on multiple tables then you may exclude records on one table that would otherwise match thus causing the SELECT to fail. Try removing one criteria or table at a time from the query to see if you can determine which one causes the query to select no records. Terry
