multiple subnets

Hello all,
I have a symantec 200R VPN box that does my dhcp/VPN and firewall but I would like to take a bunch of my computers under this and put them on a different subnet. I suspect I am going to need to get an additional router that can do its own dhcp to give out internal addresses to these machines on the seperate subnet. I would like this to be a gigabit product. does anyone have any suggestions? am I looking at this in totally the wrong way? Is there a better way?

There a several ways to do it: a router, server, firewall, etc.

But perhaps if you could explain the issue you're trying to resolve, I could offer a more concrete solution.

Thanks for your response. What I am trying to do is seperate about 15 machines from my current network as these 15 will be rendering nodes. So I don't want network traffic on one subnet to effect the network on the other subnet. I will need both networks to be gig networks as well as have the ability to connect to eachother. Thanks.

Your best bet is to get a good managed switch and carve out VLANs. A router will be used for inter-VLAN traffic.
