I have a database application for instruments. The core fields in the main table "Index" are the primary key TagFunction & TagNumber & TagSubclass and InstTypes.
The field InstTypes decides what form you edit the data in and what report it prints out on. There can be as many records as a couple to two hundred per InstTypes. At present the user uses the form to edit and clicks a command button to print that specific sheet. This is okay for individual printing but I know need to look a being able to select a number of records of the same InstTypes and print them. I have tried this before utilising another field in the main table but as there are about 12 users you end up printing each others datasheets. I am thinking whether if I had a seperate table that when the user clicks a tick box on the form it records the primary key, InstTypes and user and then give an option to multi print which brings the list up for the currentuser and current InstTypes. Does all this make sense or is there a very easy way of doing it that I am missing Never smile at work, they may think you're enjoying yourself too much and cut your pay.
