Multiple Session Throughput with ArcserveIT 6.6 for NW

I have acheived throughput speeds in excess of 130 kb/min on individual backup jobs (1 volume). However, when multiple sessions are assigned (2 volumes and per server (3 servers) throughput drops and does not recover even when starting a new session (new volume). What gives?

Setup is NW5.1 sp4 / ArcserveIT 6.6 sp4 / Dell 120T DLT1 autoloader
