Hi,

My client is having multiple customers (Approx. 52) and he is printing letters, each customer is having different body.
My requirement is I need to create report and printing the document based on the customer.
Pls give me suggestions, How to do this.
I am thinking to create report with 52 sections based on the customer document will display.
Is crystal will handle these many sections?
I am using Crystal 10 and Sql Server 2000.
Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks
Mure

How do you know which document each customer should get? Is the document loaded as a field in a table? What tables/fields are you working with?

I just created an individually paged report for a 50 store grocery chain, so it should handle the load. I'm assuming that you'll create a group based on customer, then drag in the neccessary fields. I assume that you will create a large text box in the group header, or footer, and insert fields from the DB into there, and of course create your message. Get the address and what not from the DB. Make sure to keep each section on it's own pages by using the section expert and suppress details.

Good luck.

Each customer is having report details and one letter, Letter is perdefined text ( templet ) and this letter is containg few parameters like address & and money transactions this parameter's data is coming from table.

Every Customer is having different letter (body text).
Report data details section is same for all customer, this display customer details, This data is coming from customer table.&
Each customer printing different letter.
Here What I am thinking is
Section1 - Report details
Section2 - Customer custom letter
section2 - |||
||| |||
Section53 - Customer custom letter
Based on the customer - Customer letter is printing & remaining sections suppressing.

Is I am thinking is right? pls guide is there any other way?
If is it okay, Crystal can handle the load.

Thanks

There is no need for 52 sections, just one big detail section will do it. When you create the report, on the new report wizard pick form letter, and it will walk you through how to do this.
