Good afternoon all -

Does Access 2000 support using multiple bands for any sections of a report. What I need to do is have 2 text boxes in the details section, but one or the other will be hidden at various times throughout the report, and I need to not avoid the extra space that is displayed when one is hidden.

I am looking to implement the same functionality that I can use in Crystal Reports, where I can have Details(a), Details(b), etc., but I have to use Access for this report.

Thanks in advance for any ideas,

-Gary

I am having the exact same problem. Any suggestions would be welcome.

We know that we can create group headers and footer sections on any field in our report's recordsource. Consider creating a group header on the primary/unique field in the report. This would create a second "detail" section.

You can use code in the on format event of the section to cancel its printing.

Outstanding! Very creative approach, and exactly what I needed. Thanks.

I didn't want anyone to think that CyrstalReports had any benefit over Access Reports ;-)
