Here is a list of some problems with our ArcServe 2000 Build 1086 (SP3)

1. Here is a list of some of the error messages I get when we attempt to backup the Microsoft Exchange Server/Brick Level, System State, Microsoft Exchange Server, Registry and some file folders on the D partition. These errors will not display until its about 50 percent into the brick level backup of someone's individual email box. I have checked the service account permissions on all layers of the exchange server. I have applied qo06202.caz.
2. After I get these error messages, the backup job hangs and must be restarted. (In the process I get asmgr.exe error messages which generates logs and causes Arcserve to crash) (I was told by Arcserve tech support to stop all services and then delete out the 0000001.qsd folder and resubmit the job, this fix does not work as it happens weekly)
3. Another problem is when and if the backup job goes through, it will not compress the data using software compression, We use a HP Sure Store T20 with 10 gig uncompressed and 20 gig compressed. The backup job in total size is 11 1/2 gigs, I would think that the software compression would work properly to compress that amount of data on a 20 gig compressed tape. I have tried using multiple tapes on this thinking it could have been a corrupted tape.
