I don't normally use the My Documents folder on my own system. I opened it earlier after missing the icon I was aiming for.
I've never seen anything like this and am now worried I've got something on my system that I can't spot in Belarc, and that Adaware and Spybot haven't picked up. I just found *several hundred log files* in My Documents on my XP machine. When looking in the log, my email address and password are there in plain english, in addition to the full text and headers of any e-mail that I've downloaded.
The log files are all in the format of:
YY.MM.DD.HH.MM.SS-pop3-(constant 5 digit number)-(numeric sequential numbers)-server.log
I've been using this same machine for a few years, and I know that this is not something that my virus scanner, email software, or mail server is doing.
Does this look familiar to anyone?
