I've been asked to segment different business divisions within our company with different greetings. I have divided up some vm ports and changed the greeting for these depending on the business group. The problem is, since I have an operator mailbox set up in the system, regardless of what I try, if someone stays on the line too long on the other divisions, they go to the main operator. Management wants them to be routed to their own operators within those divisions (or tenants).

Am I wrong in saying that I can't autoroute calls to a different point per vm hunt group? Thanks. rp

So basically you need to multi-tenant the VM system. Unfortunately, the 3300ICP's embedded VM is a single-tenant system, which means you're always stuck with a single system operator.

Mitel's Express Messenger is a very basic, in-the-skins, entry-level solution for plain vanilla voice mail. MEM is usually adequate for most users, but not all. Once your application requirements exceed the simple basics then it's time for an external voice mail system such as the Nupoint system.

Watch out for what is coming Q2/07 for NuPoint - amazing stuff.

Possibly good timing. I have a client running a centralised 48-port Octel Overture 250 that's got a gazillion hours on it and original (mirrored) drives still merrily spinning along.

I probably wouldn't have much interest in promoting serial nbr 1 or s/w release 'N.zero' of anything, but at some point in the near future I'm going to start lobbying for the Octel to be put out to pasture.

We sure haven't made a dime off that thing (Octel) - it's been on T&M the last 7 yrs (since Y2K) and the dang thing just runs forever. Incredible product.

Let me tell you the MS Exchange integration is wonderful and will actually give MS Exchange Unified Messaging a run for it's money.

Ahhh, good ole 250/350's. I miss working on those. The most you had to do was clean the filters and check the logs. I think I replaced 2 drives and one TIC card, in a 6 year time span. Solid product.
