I am new to Crystal Reports 8.5 and have been banging my head against a wall trying to find an easy to follow method of designing a report that accesses databases through 4 different file DSNs. The data is in 8 different DBs and needs to be summed and counted I have tried using the dictionary but that will not work Queries in the SQL builder won't access more than one ODBC connection. I have looked at just using the report writer but that gives me a nightmare of a report that would be difficult to modify if needs change. I am at the point where I will be designing a Data warehouse is this the best solution.

If it's possible, I would write a stored procedure that would live in one database and connect to the other databases to get the data that I wanted.
