Multiple Monitor setup using ATI Radeon Mobility 7500

I am trying to setup my laptop for multiple monitor, basically using my laptop's display and an external monitor using ATI radeon mobility 7500 card. The drivers are all uptodate but when I click on Display -> settings I don't see the 2 monitors like 1 & 2. It always says
'(Multiple Monitors) on ATI Radeon Mobility 7500'. I don't see any option for 'Extend my desktop to this monitor' either.

Am I missing something here?
