We would like to have two different MOH. I understand I can do this with Group calling. Can I have a group MOH and a system MOH on the same system? One set of extensions would be in a group and use the group MOH, the rest of our extensions would not be in a group and would use the system MOH. Is this possible? We are not using 2 groups as we have more than 20 extensions for the second group and my understanding is that there is a limitation of 20 extensions per group and one trunk per group. TIA for any information.

what system??????

if it is a legend No one one moh port can be use

Sorry about that. That's what happens when you try to do more than 2 or 3 things at once. It is a Merlin Magix 3.0. We have a smaller subsidiary on the same phone system and we would like to have different MOH so we can have advertisments for both companies. Thanks for your reply.

Beginnng with Magix R3, you can have System MOH and Calling Group MOH, but you cannot have multiple Calling Group MOH. So, you can have different music for System hold and in queue, but not be different between multiple queues. Check your documentation beginning on page 529 - Music on Hold

After doing the suggested reading, I have questions: This pertains to the extensions that would be in a calling group. My understanding is that, for this group, when the console operator answered an incoming call and then transferred the call to another member of the group, the group's MOH would NOT play. Can I exclude the console operator from the group and if I did, would the group MOH play when she transferred an incoming call to a member of the group? According to my interpretation of what I read if the console operator is part of the group when she transfers a call the system MOH would play. TIA again.

If I understand correctly, in order for callers to hear the GROUP MOH, the operator would need to send it to the GROUP not just a member of the group. Does this help?

I am not sure if I understand this correctly. So is there any way for me to tell the system to use one Music on Hold for two AA and a set of phones and another MOH for the other two AA for a different set of phones?

Thanks,
