Hi,

I am composing a 520 page book in Indesign. I have autoflowed all the pages from one Master page. I have added a Master B page with the lower sinked text frame for chapter openers. When I apply the master B page over a selected existing page, the text frame does not adjust to new size (I was able to do this in Quark). It just adds another text frame underneath the original master frame that filled with text. Anyway to override this? I must be doing something wrong...but I can't find this in any of the manuals...

Thanks

Hi,

Go to the Layout Menu > Layout adjustment.

Just make it active by clicking in the window in the top left corner.

Now your text will be adjusted en InDesign creates new textframes.

If things don't work immediately. Apply a basic master page to the page again and then apply the wanted master again.

You can activate this option (layout Adjustment) when there is no document open in InDesign. If you do so this option will always be applied and you don't have to worry again.

Good luck
