Multiple IPSec VPN Software

Hello everyone, I got a question for you guys. Does anyone know if there is a software out there that will let me handle up to 400-500 IPSec VPN tunnels ?

Lets say I have 300 stores which are all come to 1 location which is the main office. Now all the stores have the Linksys BEFVP41 VPN Routers now instead of hooking up 5 BEFVP41 routers at the main office I would like to use a powerful computer with some sort of VPN Software that can handle a whole bunch of VPN tunnels.

If not, What hardware would you recommend ?

You could use a PIX firewall, cisco VPN router or cisco VPN concentrator. I would not use a software on a machine, I prefer to use a hardware device like a VPN concentrator since it is designed for this purpose.

damn I can't seem to find the edit button on this forum so I can edit and add to what I said. Oh Well...


I am looking at the Cisco VPN Concentrator 5001 ? Does anyone know if this is good for handling up to 500 vpn connections ? And how is the console to manage the tunnels is it hard or easy ? And will it work with the
Linksys BEFVP41 vpn router ?

P.S. I don't want to spend a S#!+ load of money on a vpn concentrator because I have a whole bunch of other hardware I have to get. Something between 1,000-3,000 bucks.

I think the 5000 is EOL. I would go for a 3015 VPN concentrator instead. Besides it is really simple to configure it. If you need 500 VPN connections then I would say you need to spend more than that. You need a reliabel product since it is going to handle the connections from all your stores.
