Hi,
this might be a quickie for some but I'm stuck

configuration : Solaris Server, two nics. One (a) nic to the "open" LAN the other Nic (B) functioning as an interconnect to another system.

Problem:
We need to add a secondary IP address to Nic A, currently the ip Address is ( 3.138.XX.XX with gateway 3.138.XX.XX.) and i need to add a secondary IP address with the secondary gateway ( for example 14.20.XX.XX gateway 14.20.XX.XX)

please help

ifconfig hme0:1 inet 14.20.x.x

or add a /etc/hostname.hme0:1 containing the name or IP if this nic and reboot

Best Regards, Franz
