Hi All,

Is their any way to set up an ethernet card so that it
can have two separate ip addresses on two separate subnets?

Thanks!

-Joe

Hi,

You can add another address to a card using "alias"

In the last version of AIX, you can use smit.

use "smitty inetalias" or
smitty tcpip, further ..., Network int.., N.I.Sel, Conf. Alias.

Then choice Add ipv4, en0, and enter address and mask

In this mode, you can see the 2 networks, as you have 2
adapters. The 2 networks can see you; if you want that
net1 sees net2 via your risc, is a little bit more difficult.

bye.

Hi,

Thank you very much. It worked.
