I need to create a resource group that contains 2 different unique IP addresses & network names. Is this possible?

I need to install SQL 2005 with its own IP address/Network name & another application with its own IP address/Network name.

The secondary application is supposed to set SQL as a start dependency.

So is it possible to put BOTH of these inside the same Resource group using 2 different sets of network names/ip addresses or do they have to share the network/name & ip address?

Yes you can have two different IPs and network names in the same resource group.

Yes you can have multiple resource of the same type in a group. The key is to preserver atomicity; all resouces on which a resource depends should be in the same group. If you have a two file shares in one group, then you would want the disk, name, and IP resources on which they depend in the same group. You want to avoid situations where a resource in one group depends on a resource in another.
