Hi all. We are currently running our impromptu reports from mcx macro files. These are then batched up in DOS .bat files. The problem we are running into is if two of these batch files are open at the same time, ie one starts before the other is finished, the second does not open up its own instance of impromptu. It waits for a report from the first batch to finish and once that has completed, it starts one from it's batch. They then alternate until one finishes. I've tried the /MI switch from the command line, but it didn't seem to have an impact on this behavior. Does anyone have any other ideas on this? Any help would be appreciated.

I have a a single macro which contains code to read a text file containing all the reports, appropriate prompts and output type. This macro is then called from a batch file in turn run using Windows scheduler. This needs to be set up with single instance otherwise I find the Impromptu sessions don't close! Otherwise I find it works. Is that any help? Simon Rouse

Actually I've been toying around with some things and we kind of got it to work. We find the same issue as you, however, in that it leaves an impromptu session open. It also matters which of our report batches try to set up impromptu as multi session. We're going to keep digging at it.
