Multiple fonts on one field

I have a field that needs to output either a checkmark or a plus sign. I know to get a checkmark, the font is wingdings, chr(252).
For the plus sign, I need font arial. Not sure how to do accomplish this. I am using Crystal XI. Can you all point me in the right direction?

One simple option is to place two text objects use their suppress attribute expression to show one and suppress the other.
