Hey Guys,

I have a number of phones in a hunt group and i need to setup 1 voicemail box for all the phones in the group to use. So in laymans terms at the end of the day when the department have finished we need all the extensions to use the same mailbox and all the phones get notified when there is a voicemail waiting to be retrieved.

Hope this makes sence and you are able to help.

Nick

Two things you need (at least that I know of):

1) Create a DN table in Meridian Mail to point all the extensions into 1 mailbox.

2) Use a Remote Message Waiting Key on each set.

The DN table will point all calls to each extension to one mailbox, using express messaging. The RMWK key will allow you to have a flashing key on the phones to indicate when there are messages.

I do not know of a way to light the lamps on all phones (someone else might), and I believe you need to have an appearance of the DN you are monitoring on each phone.

This is only one way to skin the cat that I know of, there could be others.

Hope this helps,

Scott M.

Meridian Option 11 running Release 23 software and the voicemail is X11.

The phones that are in this hunt group are basic desk phones and are type 500.
