Hello all,
Well here is a little problem Ive never delt with before.
I have two offices and they need to be able to share the network resources including our development environment. They can vpn into our office and see our domain (ie and they can browse the ip of any server. The problem is that they can not see any sub domains, (ie dev.thisdomain.com) or any other development domains. Locally anybody can get to the domains, but not when someone gets in via VPN. I have edited the lmhosts file to recognize the main domain (domain.com) but they can not see any other domain on our dev webserver. I have looked around and seen comments on adding other domains to the lmhost file and even adding alias domains to AD, but nothing is very clear on this subject.
Thanks in advance
Mel
