Multiple DN for a single handset

I want to change a user's DN. However, I would like calls to his old DN to also point to his new DN. What is the best way to do this?

I had considered making his old DN into a hunt group with his new DN as the only member. Will this work and is there a better way?

Any help is appreciated.

If it's only for DID calls, then just assign his old target line to his new extension port.

You can try putting an answer DN on his phone for the old one.

It's just for internal calls made by entering his DN.

He's a member of a department that has all their handsets in the 600s but he has extension 245. It's been listed in the directory for so long that if I just change it without enabling those calls to forward it would probably be a problem. I'd like to change his DN to 624 and forward all calls made to 245 to that DN.
